  • 1 lb smoked sausage, thinly sliced
  • 2 lbs potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the smoked sausage slices until cooked through; set aside.
  3. Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic in the same skillet until translucent.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine diced potatoes, cooked sausage, sautéed onion and garlic, cheddar cheese, ranch dressing mix, milk, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes covered; then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
