  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • 8 oz semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 4 oz semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar until smooth. Mix in eggs and vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add to wet ingredients until combined.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cooling completely.
  5. For the mousse, melt semisweet chocolate and let it cool slightly. Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form then fold in the cooled chocolate.
  6. Spread the mousse over the cooled brownies and refrigerate for at least 3 hours until set.
  7. Slice into squares and serve chilled.
