Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb wild-caught shrimp
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ bunch cilantro
  • 3 cups finely shredded green cabbage
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • Avocado slices
  • 8 6-inch tortillas (corn or flour)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, black pepper, lime zest, and half of the cilantro to create the marinade.
  2. Add shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  3. For the slaw, mix shredded cabbage, Greek yogurt, remaining cilantro, and lime juice in another bowl until combined.
  4. Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  5. Warm tortillas in a skillet or microwave. Assemble tacos by placing shrimp on each tortilla followed by slaw and avocado slices.
  6. Serve immediately with extra lime wedges.
