- 8 oz linguine or fettuccine noodles
- 4 tsp fresh grated ginger
- 6 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- Green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned, about 5 minutes. Add ginger and garlic during the last 2 minutes.
- Boil the linguine or fettuccine noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet, then add brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir well.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Pour into the skillet and simmer until thickened (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce. Let sit for 2-3 minutes to absorb flavors.
- Serve garnished with sliced green onions.
