  • 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 tsp water
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Combine with orange juice, zest, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil in a saucepan. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened. Let cool.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Line a baking sheet with oiled foil and place salmon fillets on it. Baste generously with half of the cooled sauce.
  4. Bake for about 14 minutes until flaky. Baste again with remaining sauce and broil for one minute for a golden finish.
  5. Serve over rice, garnished with optional toppings like sesame seeds or green onions.
