  • 150 g unsalted butter
  • 160 g cream cheese
  • 220 g icing sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round baking pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and spices; set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat sugars, eggs, vanilla extract, oil, and pumpkin until well combined.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients; mix until just combined.
  5. Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  7. For the frosting: Beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy; mix in cream cheese and gradually add icing sugar until smooth.
